Freight bills arrived weeks after delivery and were checked against paper LRs and email rate confirmations. Roughly one bill in five was disputed, and the finance team carried a permanent reconciliation backlog.
Rate contracts were loaded by lane, vehicle type and weight slab. Trips now compute their own freight at dispatch, so the vendor bill is compared against a number the system already published.
